Workshops for Parents & Caregivers

Research shows that mindfulness and other self-care practices offer
numerous benefits for parents and caregivers, including
improved communication, problem-solving, and a
deeper understanding of children’s needs.

These practices support caregivers in meeting challenges with
patience, awareness, and calm.

Mindfulness and Self-Care Workshops

This program (2 sessions or more) includes guided meditations, simple exercises, and discussions designed to strengthen caregivers’ relationships with their children.

Participants learn practices that alleviate common feelings associated with parenting, such as guilt, disappointment, shame, and embarrassment, while fostering connection, presence, and emotional balance.

Mindfulness at Home

This program (4 sessions or more) teaches parents simple mindfulness strategies to model and use at home with the entire family. Caregivers explore activities that help children connect, breathe, move, focus, and relax, while also supporting adults’ emotional regulation and resilience.

These practices empower families to build calm, connection, and well-being together.

“I spend so much time stressing about something that has happened or will happen, and don’t allow myself the time and space to just be. Marissa’s session really helped me to go through calming steps to achieve mindfulness in an active way, and I’ll definitely be using these strategies she showed us more in the future.”
