Parents & Caregivers

“I spend so much time stressing about something that has happened or will happen, and don’t allow myself the time and space to just be. Mar’s session really helped me to go through calming steps to achieve mindfulness in an active way, and I’ll definitely be using these strategies more in the future.”

-Parent Workshop Participant

Mindfulness and other self-care practices offer numerous benefits for parents and caregivers, including improved communication, stronger problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of children’s needs. These practices help caregivers meet everyday challenges with more patience, awareness, and calm, while staying connected to themselves and the people they care for.

These workshops support parents and caregivers in cultivating presence, compassion, and emotional resilience—the inner resources needed to navigate the many challenges and joys of caregiving.

Sessions may include guided meditations, embodied practices, reflection, interactive activities, and practical tools to help participants reduce stress, respond to challenging moments with greater awareness, and develop sustainable self-care practices.

Participants explore ways to work with common parenting and caregiving experiences such as frustration, guilt, worry, disappointment, and overwhelm, while building skills for greater connection, patience, and emotional balance.

Mindfulness at Home

This multi-session program helps parents and caregivers bring simple mindfulness and embodied practices into daily family life. Participants learn accessible activities that support children and adults in breathing, moving, focusing, relaxing, and navigating emotions.

Through practices that encourage connection, emotional regulation, and self-awareness, families develop tools to create more calm, compassion, and resilience together.
